Privacy Policy
1. Start here: plain-language summary
2. About this Policy
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Numorotech (“Numorotech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the My Journal application (the “App”).
This Policy is separate from our Terms of Service. Please read both.
3. Words we use
- Personal information / personal data
- Information that identifies you, relates to you, or could reasonably be linked to you or your device.
- On your device
- Information stored locally on your phone, tablet, or computer. You remove it by clearing App storage or uninstalling.
- Service providers
- Companies that help us run parts of a product on our behalf. In this version of My Journal, core journaling does not send your entries to service providers.
4. Who we are
Published by Numorotech. Privacy contact: support@numorotech.com. Support: https://numorotech.com/support.
5. Your choices and rights
| What you may want to do | How |
|---|---|
| Remove journal entries, photos, handwriting, themes, and settings on your device | Clear App storage or uninstall |
| Ask a privacy question or make a request | Email support@numorotech.com |
| See step-by-step privacy choices | Read Your privacy choices |
6. What information we handle
| In plain language | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Your journal on this device — entries you write, optional photos you attach, optional handwriting, theme and page-look choices, and optional reminder times you set | Local journal text; photo files you choose to attach; pen strokes; paper theme / page look; local reminder schedule | You and your device |
| What you send if you email us | Your email address and message content | You, when you contact support |
What we do not collect in this version

- Ads or advertising IDs for cross-app ad tracking
- In-app purchases or payment details
- Analytics or crash-reporting data sent to Numorotech or measurement partners
- Precise location or contacts
- Microphone audio uploaded to Numorotech (Dictate, when used, turns speech into text on your device)
- Information from data brokers or purchased mailing lists
7. How we use information
| Why | What we typically use |
|---|---|
| Let you journal and keep your pages, themes, and calendar on your device | On-device journal, themes, and settings |
| Respond to support and privacy requests; meet legal duties | What you send when you contact us |
Where laws require a legal basis, we rely on providing the App you requested, legitimate interests in responding to support and securing our communications, and consent where required. Your journal content is processed on your device to provide the App; we do not receive it unless you choose to include it in an email to us.
8. When we share information
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
| Who | In plain language | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Advisors or authorities when required | When the law requires disclosure | Legal compliance or security |
In this version we do not send journal entries, day colors, or flowers to analytics, advertising, or cloud journaling partners. If you email us, your message is handled so we can respond.
9. How long we keep information
- On your device: until you clear storage or uninstall.
- Support emails: as needed to respond and meet legal duties.
10. Where information is processed
Core journaling stays on your device. If you email us, that correspondence may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our email tools operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards.
11. How we protect information
Journal pages and attached photos are encrypted on your device (AES-GCM). The encryption key is stored in the platform Keychain (iOS) or Keystore (Android), not in your journal passcode. Optional passcode / biometric unlock only gates when that key may sit in memory — it does not replace at-rest encryption. Optional ZIP backups you export can be protected with a passphrase you choose; that passphrase is not stored in the App. Protect your device with a passcode or biometrics and keep backups you control. Uninstalling still removes journal data on that device. No method of storage is completely secure — especially on a compromised or jailbroken device.
12. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact support@numorotech.com if you believe a child provided personal information to us.
13. California residents
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Categories and purposes are in Sections 6–8.
- Submit requests to support@numorotech.com.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- We aim to respond within legally required timeframes (generally 45 days, extendable as permitted).
14. Europe, UK, and Switzerland
You may have GDPR / UK GDPR (or Swiss) rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Email support@numorotech.com. Most journal content exists only on your device, so clearing App storage or uninstalling is how you delete it.
15. Automated decisions and tracking signals
We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you. The App does not specially respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals; use the choices in Section 5.
16. Device permissions, cookies, and similar technologies
My Journal is designed for offline journaling on your device. Core writing and reading do not require network access. Optional features may prompt for:
- Camera — only if you choose to take a photo to attach to a journal page. Photos stay on your device with the entry; they are not uploaded to Numorotech and are not saved back to your photo library by the App.
- Photo library / Photos — only if you choose to pick an existing photo to attach. Same local-only rules as Camera.
- Microphone / speech recognition — only if you choose Dictate. Speech turns into text on your device when available; audio is not uploaded to Numorotech. You still tap Done to seal a page.
- Face ID / biometrics — only if you turn on passcode protection and keep biometric unlock on. Used to unlock the App on this device; passcode remains the fallback. Biometric data stays in the device secure enclave / OS — Numorotech never receives it.
- Local notifications — only if you turn on optional Reflections / writing reminders in Settings (default off). When enabled, the App may schedule up to three calm, on-device reminders a day with soft reflection questions. Optional answers you write are stored on your device in a Reflections section separate from journal pages. Numorotech does not send remote push for journaling.
We do not ask for contacts or continuous location access for the current App. Microphone access is only for optional Dictate (see above). If a future feature needs a new permission, your device will prompt you.
These legal pages are a static website and do not use advertising cookies. Inside the App, this version does not use analytics or crash tools that place advertising identifiers for measurement. Device local storage holds your journal so the App can work offline.
17. Social logins and information from elsewhere
We do not offer social logins. We do not buy mailing lists or enrich profiles from data brokers or marketing partners. We only handle information as described in Section 6.
18. Other websites and app stores
Links to Apple’s App Store, Google Play, or other sites we do not control are covered by those companies’ own policies—not this one.
19. If our business changes
If we merge, are acquired, or sell assets, personal information we hold (for example, support emails) may transfer as part of that deal, under this Policy or a successor that is at least as protective where the law requires. On-device journal data stays on your device unless you choose to move it. We will notify you of a material change in who controls information we hold when required.
20. Other U.S. state privacy laws
Residents of states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others may have rights to access, delete, or correct personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising as described above. Email support@numorotech.com to exercise rights; we will respond as the applicable law requires.
21. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when practices, the App, or the law change, and will revise the “Last updated” date. For material changes we will take steps required by law. We aim to review this Policy at least yearly. Continued use after an update acknowledges the Policy to the extent allowed by law.
22. How to review, update, or delete the data we collect from you
Where the law allows, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Your My Journal entries and settings live only on your device—clear App storage or uninstall to remove them. See Your privacy choices for step-by-step guidance. For questions about support emails or your rights, email support@numorotech.com with the App name and your request. We do not operate a traditional account for this App, and we cannot remotely wipe on-device journal data.
